Love & chaos - opera confetti in two acts is a collaboration between The Royal Swedish Opera’s music director and court conductor Alan Gilbert and the American artist and director Doug Fitch. Together with radiant opera soloists, choir, and The Royal Swedish Orchestra, they offer a humorous and sometimes breathtaking performance. The audience will be taken on a wild journey through a story of unexpected love, dragons, and brave heroics set to the beloved operatic works of composers such as Mozart, Rossini, Weber, Cimarosa, and P.D.Q. Bach — the deservedly forgotten, zany, recently discovered brother of his more well-known sibling.
Alan Gilbert and Doug Fitch, who have collaborated on several occasions before, describe the performance as a magical evening of operatic fantasy where the audience gets to experience fantastic music in new and unexpected ways.
Love & chaos is an unforgettable tribute to the art of opera and theatre that shouldn’t be missed!
