Your visit

Restrooms in the theater are limited du to the age and conservation status of the building. There are more restrooms close to the Drottningholms Slottscafé a mere 150 meters from the theatre entrance.

Due to the delicate nature of the theatre as well as the safety of our guests we do not allow any coats, bags or other bulky items in theatre. We offer a complimentary and supervised coat check where you can safely leave your belongings during the performance.

No food and beverages (including water) are allowed in main part of the theatre. The Déjeuner Salon Bar opens 1,5 hours before the opera performances and offer the theatre's own white and rosé wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages and lighter food items such as wraps, mini donuts and macarons. When you book your tickets you have the option to pre-purchase beverages and lighter foods for the interval, or a picknick basket for two to enjoy before the performance.
Drottningholms Slottscafé is a short walk from the theatre and offers an à la carte menu.

You can see the theatre's location on the map above.
The easiest way to get to Drottningholms Slottsteater is by local transit from Brommaplan. You can easily plan you trip on the SL website. If you arrive by car there is a large parking spot close to the theatre. Traffic on afternoons and early evenings can be heavy, please consider this when planning your trip here.
One easy way to return to the city after our opera performances is the theatre bus. It leaves right next to theatre following our performances and makes stops on Fridhemsplan and the Central Station in central Stockholm. Tickets cost SEK 100 and can be purchased when you book your ticket or in the theatre, pending on availability.

Photography as well as video and audio recording is not allowed during our performances. Picture taking is allowed during final applause, but camera flashes or lights are never allowed in the theatre.
